Massage and Hand Care

Hands are important tools that are used every day from the moment you rise in the morning to the time you go to bed at night. They are a vital part of your daily routine and help you do everything from buttoning a shirt to gripping a fork for your supper. It isn’t a wonder why, when we get older, arthritis might target the finger joints first. Hands are over used and not often cared for regularly.

It is not common for individuals to walk into a massage therapy clinic and ask specifically to have work done on their hands. Most people don’t think about it, but the truth is that hands are over worked every day and probably need treatment more often than received. The Thenar (thumb) muscles and joints are usually the most active throughout the day due to gripping or holding and can be prone to injury or arthritis later on in life. Regular massage work on the hands, not only can help relieve pain and potentially prevent arthritis, but it feels amazing and extremely relaxing too.

COVID-19 Update

Due to the State of Emergency announced in Waterloo Region this past week and the mandate put forth by PHA and my governing college (CMTO), I will be temporarily keeping my Massage Therapy Clinic closed at this time. As I am unsure as to when it will be safe to reopen, I will be contacting clients on a weekly basis who have an upcoming appointment to cancel their treatments and will be placing them on a rebook list for when this outbreak has passed.
