Masks in Health Care Settings

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the warmer ‘almost’ summer weather. As summer time approaches, the province is opening up for more events and activities while COVID-19 cases are becoming more manageable.

As you may know, June 11th marks the end of the mask mandate for many health care settings and public transit. This being said Massage Therapists have been eagerly waiting for guidance from our governing body (CMTO) and have not received any notification or emails pertaining information on the mask mandate or any directive on how we are to proceed in our clinic settings. Due to this lack of guidance, I will be taking two more weeks to make a decision on the subject and would ask that all clients continue to wear their masks upon entering the clinic and while being treated during their appointments. You will be updated on the decision in a future email on or before June 24th.

I appreciate your understanding and thank you in advance for your cooperation.

In Health,
Jennifer Medeiros

COVID-19 Update

Due to the State of Emergency announced in Waterloo Region this past week and the mandate put forth by PHA and my governing college (CMTO), I will be temporarily keeping my Massage Therapy Clinic closed at this time. As I am unsure as to when it will be safe to reopen, I will be contacting clients on a weekly basis who have an upcoming appointment to cancel their treatments and will be placing them on a rebook list for when this outbreak has passed.
